Blixes Farm – Abattoir Development

This project was to develop a new abattoir for C Humphreys & Sons at Blixes Farm. This included the abattoir building, carcass chill rooms and associated refrigeration units.

It is part funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

Beef Farm Shop In Essex

BEEF

Our beef is home reared on our 600-acre farm and butchered onsite to meet our high standards of animal welfare and food hygiene. Hung for a minimum of 21 days to produce tenderness and flavour. We stock a great selection of succulent of steaks, roasting joints, ribs, mince and stewing beef. We make our juicy beef burgers fresh onsite which are great for BBQs!

LAMB

Our lamb is sourced as locally as possible and is selected for its delicious and juicy flavour. We have a great choice of tender lamb cuts including rack of lamb, lamb chops and rump steaks as well as lamb shoulder & leg of lamb to make your Sunday roast extra special.

Poultry Farm Shop in Essex

POULTRY

We have a long-standing relationship with our poultry farmer in Suffolk who breeds the finest standard of chickens in the East of England. We sell both plain and pre-seasoned chickens, making the preparation of your Sunday roast a little easier and tastier! We also stock chickens breasts, drumsticks, thighs, wings and legs.

PORK

Our pork is sourced with a 15-mile radius of our farm and is butchered onsite, resulting in a lovely soft consistency and great taste. We offer a wide range of cuts including pork ribs, loin, leg, fillet, belly, chops, shoulders and a great choice of tasty sausages made on site.

Essex Deli Cheeses

DELI

Our Deli offers a selection of finest quality cooked meats with authentic flavour. We also stock Cheeses, hen and duck eggs, potatoes, seasoning packs, local honey and a range of quality brands and locally sourced products including Tiptree jams and preserves.

Bakery Essex

BAKERY

You will need strong will power to resist the fantastic smell coming from our onsite bakery! We highly recommend our tasty sausage rolls and award-wining pork pies and for those with a sweet tooth, we stock a tempting range of biscuits, sponges, sticky buns, apple and cherry pies.

GAME

The Game Season lasts from August to February, so ensure you make the most of the delicious British game on offer when you can. From plump pheasants, partridges and wood pigeon to rabbit and venison, our selection of excellent quality, seasonal game, is all sourced from local suppliers.
